Meet Our New Dentist Irina Beleva

13th December 2018

We are very pleased to introduce you our new dentist "Irina Beleva"

We are delighted to introduce you to our newest recruit, Irina Beleva. Irina will be joining the High St Dental Team as one of our dentists, allowing us to continueoffering you flexible dental appointments with different practitioners who have a variety of specialisms.

Meet Irina and learn a little more about her areas of expertise in dentistry:

How did you become a dentist?

I graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 2011. I worked in my home country for three years and then decided to continue my education and fulfil my passion for aesthetic dentistry. This is how I came to the UK and started by PGCert in aesthetic and restorative dentistry.

How did you come to work at High St Dental Care?

I worked in Stoke-On-Trent as a general dental practitioner for three years. I have now moved on to study for a new qualification in endodontics.

What are your specialisms?

I completed my PGCert in aesthetic and restorative dentistry in Manchester. I am now completing my MSc in endodontics this year.

What are your favourite parts of your job?

Being able to give my patients the care they deserve, and the smile they have always dreamed of, is the greatest part of my job. It gives me fulfilment and passion for my work.

What have you learnt whilst working as a dentist?

Every case is unique. It is a long journey for both the patient and me. But we are both driven by the same aim – the best outcome. This is what makes the experience so wonderful, and this is why I am a happy person in my work.

Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself, and I look forward to meeting you in the practice soon!

Irina

Irina’s specialisms explained: what is an endodontist?

Endodontists have specialist training that focuses on the diagnosis of tooth pain, as well as carrying out root canal treatments. You will need to have a root canal treatment if the pulp, that is, the soft tissue inside the tooth, has been damaged and is starting to die, which will be revealed after you have had an x-ray. Endodontists will usually study for two or more years in addition to their dental degree, and will often be able to save a tooth that would otherwise need to be removed.

We will be happy to talk this over with you further if you find yourself needing an endodontic treatment. Please just talk to a member of our reception team or to your dentist.

If you would like to book an appointment with Irina, or any other member of the High St Dental Care team, please call us on 01664 562092 or email info@highstdentalcare.co.uk. We can offer you appointments for general dental care, as well as appointments with our hygienists to look after your oral health. We can also book you an appointment with an orthodontist to address aesthetic concerns with your teeth.
